Segment 1: Sevelen to Davos (via Route 28)

Segment 2: Davos to Engadin Valley (Route 28)

  • Flüela Pass (2383 meters): A high mountain pass that connects Davos to the Engadin region. This is a beautiful, scenic drive with hairpin bends and breathtaking views.
  • Engadin Valley: After the Flüela Pass, Route 28 brings you to the Engadin Valley, famous for its picturesque villages and alpine scenery.
  • Possible stop: Zernez

Segment 3: Engadin Valley to Brunico (Italy)

  • Enter Italy via Pass dal Fuorn
    Continue on Route 28 until you cross the border into Italy at the Pass dal Fuorn (Ofen Pass).
    Road Condition: The road descends gently, leading you into the Italian region of South Tyrol.
  • Head towards Bolzano and Brunico: Follow signs for Bolzano (Bozen) and Brunico (Bruneck) once you cross into Italy.
  • Major stop: Brunico: A small city in South Tyrol, known for its medieval castle and charming old town.

Segment 4: Brunico to Lake Braies (Lago di Braies)

  • Turn Towards Val Pusteria (Pustertal): After Brunico, follow the road into Val Pusteria, which is the valley that leads toward Lake Braies.
    Distance from Brunico to Lake Braies: Around 35 km.
  • Arrival: Lake Braies (Lago di Braies): Destination: Lake Braies is a beautiful alpine lake nestled in the Dolomites, known for its crystal-clear waters and scenic hiking trails.

Segment 5: Lago di Braies to St. Lorenzen im Lesachtal

  • Lago di Braies → Prato Piazza (Plätzwiese) → Carbonin (Schluderbach)
